In Kalaimagal Kalvi Nilayam, now, there are four different departments namely Government Aided Primary School for boys & Girls (I–V Stds) Tamil Medium, Government Aided Higher Secondary School for Girls (VI–XII Stds.) Tamil Medium, Matriculation School for Girls (L.K.G.–Std. X) English Medium, State Board English Medium School for Girls (Std. VI–X – Self Finance).
Each Department has its own Headmistress or Principal and separate Staff Members. The Head of each Department and the band of dedicated staff are doing their level best for giving not only quality education to children under their care but mould them to be Nation’s assets in future. ‘Smile and Serve’ is the motto of the School and they abide by it, counting not the cost.
All facilities are provided – R.C. Buildings with sufficient number of class rooms – separate labs for Physics, Chemistry and Biology – Computer Labs for Higher Classes with more than 50 computers – Multi Media Computer Lab for kids, separate Libraries for each department with thousands of books for reference and fictions, Audio-visual equipments with plenty of educational C.Ds for all classes. To train children in Social activities, several clubs, such as Bulbuls, Guides, Junior Red Cross, N.S.S., Road Safety Patrol are functioning and students visit Old age Homes, and organise special camps in villages. Music Club, Dance Club, Archaeological Club, Eco Club and other Subject Clubs are conducted to draw out the special individual, innate talents in children. Literary meetings and Cultural activities and school competitions, Fancy Dress, Music, Dance, Essay writing, Drawing, Oratorical etc.. in memory of the Founder are conducted every year and Special prizes are awarded for Environmental awareness, Archaeological interest, Humanitarian Deeds, Best Library users and Best Guides. They are motivated to participate in District level and State level Competitions. Quite a lot of our Girl Guides have received Rajya Puraskar Award and Rashtrapathi Award so far.
Importance to Physical Education is worth-mentioning. All teams, Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Khokho, Badminton, Table Tennis participate and win in Zonal level almost every year. Students participate in indoor games such as Chess and Carrom and win prizes. School Band Set attracts the audience during School functions.
