A coin museum was opened during the celebrations of the Founder’s hundredth Birth Anniversary on 19th Dec 1998. The coins were mainly collections of Selvi. Muthiah which consists of Sangam age coins, Chera, Chola, Pandya coins, East India Company coins, Moghul coins, Indian coins before and after Independence, coins and currency from foreign countries. Numismatic expert, Prof. Thirugnana Sambandam helped in deciphering the dates to which they belong.
